Mac-Superslick-Liner-2

Despite being a loyal MAC follower for 15 years, I realized recently that I had never actually tried any of their eyeliner. After a quick trial at the counter, I decided to go with the ‘Superslick’ version and it has exceeded all of my expectations. The liner is water-based, so on the recommendation of the girl who rang me up, I have been shaking it up before applying it. I’ve been using ‘On The Hunt,’ which is a true, shiny black. It goes on smooth and thick enough to rarely need a touch up but not thick enough to smudge or leak into the eye. In fact, the applicator is exactly what I seek out in eyeliner: sharp and precise with a thin pointed tip. The line can easily be thin or lined over a few times for desired thickness. Customer reviews on the MAC site suggest that this liner is flaky, but I have not found that to be the case. That being said, I would always wear liner with either shadow, primer or, at the very least, foundation/BB cream underneath. The liner is water resistant, which means it holds up well whether swimming or at the gym (yes, I wear eyeliner to the gym). It will not come off with just water and soap or make up remover. Eye make up specific remover is required, or my personal stand by: cold cream wiped off with make up remover wipes. I cannot comment yet on how long the tube will last, but at $19.50, an average price for designer make up, it is already proving itself well worth the cost.
